The 12th September 2018 is “Back British Farming” day #BackBritishFarming.

Today, Theresa May acknowledged the important role of British farmers in response to a question from Conservative MP Trudy Harrison. If you missed it, you can watch the video

If you want to support British Farmers, it’s recommended you:

  1. Buy British - source local produce. Local Food Britain has a local search (we’re on there)

  2. Think seasonal - Countryside publised a great “what’s in season guide”. Don’t forget Turkeys for Thanksgiving & Christmas. Find out more about Bramble Farm Turkeys

  3. Spread the word, tell friends and family to follow local farms. You can follow us on Facebook, twitter or signup to monthly newsletter

  4. Wear the “Wheat pin badge” to show your support

NFU President Minette Batters, said: “Back British Farming Day is a great opportunity to celebrate the unique role farmers play in feeding the nation and caring for the countryside.” & “Farming is the backbone of life in Britain and it’s only right that it is put at the forefront of future policy so farmers can continue to produce safe, traceable and affordable food for the country.”
