Whole, Crown and Rolls - great choice for a few of you

ALOT of people say to us, it’s just the 4 of us this year, what’s the smallest size turkey you do?

Our answer is, because our birds are reared over nearly 6 months, the smallest bird we have is normally 4-5kg. Sometimes we have a few 3kg birds, depending on nature! 2020 looks like we’ll have no 3kg birds and most of the 4-5k birds will be larger… we’re waiting to see what nature brings us.

We usually recommend 500g per person including bones, so a 4kg bird in theory would feed 8. Adrian and I often Cook a 5kg bird for us 2 & a couple of friends.

We take all the meat off the bone that same day and then make 800-1kg of curry & freeze it. This year we’ve developed some delicious leftover recipes or make our go-to turkey gratin or spring rolls or other leftover recipes eg hoisin pancakes on our blog
